A meeting of the UNITIS discussion club took place, dedicated to the topic of sports diplomacy and its impact on international relations. Participants discussed the role of sports as a tool of “soft power” in strengthening international cooperation. Historical examples of sports diplomacy, such as the Olympic Games, World Championships, and bilateral sporting events, were examined. Special attention was given to the prospects for the development of sports diplomacy in modern geopolitical conditions and its significance for promoting cultural dialogue between countries.
