We are pleased to announce an important event in the life of our Centre! We have signed an agreement on student internships. Now students of Lomonosov Moscow State University will be able to undergo internship at the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev, and students of Samara University at Lomonosov Moscow State University. On the 15th-22nd of February 2025, the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev hosted the exhibition ‘Development of Rocket Engineering in Russia’. It was possible to walk through the pages of the history of rocket engineering development in the hall of the 22nd building of Samara University. The exhibition told about the life and work of famous figures of the space industry of our country, especially about Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, whose name our university proudly bears. On February 12, 2025, the Primakov Center’s SinoClub held a meeting dedicated to the Chinese New Year. Participants learned about the unusual traditions of celebrating the Lunar New Year in China, discovered why the color red is symbolic for people, and found out how Chinese rituals differ from Russian ones. Instead of a Christmas tree, the Chinese buy potted flowers, which create a festive atmosphere. Also, the Chinese people launch lanterns with riddles written on them. On January 30, 2025, the graduation ceremony for Master’s students in “History” took place. They defended outstanding dissertations, so that even established specialists came specifically to listen to their defenses. The Primakov Center hosted a vibrant and unforgettable “Dialogue of Cultures” festival. Guests enjoyed participating in master classes, tastings, and other interactive programs from the Center’s clubs, but most importantly, they were able to save Father Frost from a virus! At IberAClub, participants discussed the history of Machu Picchu, the mysterious city of the Incas, its origin, and its heyday. The cultural significance of Machu Picchu for the Peruvian people and the world was discussed.
