Unitis: ‘U.S. Migration Policy’

Unitis participants discussed migration policy in the United States of America. During the session, they identified the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches to migration policy, including restrictive and open-borders policies. In addition, participants analysed the impact of migration processes on economic, social and political stability in the United States. On the 25th of February 2025, TurkishClub participants discussed a wide range of issues related to cooperation between Russia and Turkey. Just as a brook murmurs, our speech always sounds! Under the aegis of these words the Poetry Day was held at the E.M. Primakov Centre, which was timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day. The event was held with the support of the Samara University Coordination Centre. Participants recited their favourite poetic works in Russian and foreign languages. IberAClub: ‘Carnival Palette of Iberoamerica’

The Carnival Palette of Iberoamerica: What it was like! The participants of the Primakov Centre’s IberAClub plunged into the world of colourful carnivals from Spain to Brazil to rousing rhythms. We talked about the history of carnivals: from pagan traditions to modern interpretations of this colourful phenomenon. We simulated a meeting of Francisco Franco’s council, where we offered arguments of opponents and supporters of the prohibition of carnivals in Spain during the dictatorship. On February 13, 2025, the Samara Regional Government hosted the award ceremony for the winners and participants of the Samara Interuniversity Competition of Student Research Papers on International Relations, SamInter-2024, which brought together students from universities across the region.
