SinoClub: Lunar New Year 2025

On February 12, 2025, the Primakov Center’s SinoClub held a meeting dedicated to the Chinese New Year. Participants learned about the unusual traditions of celebrating the Lunar New Year in China, discovered why the color red is symbolic for people, and found out how Chinese rituals differ from Russian ones. Instead of a Christmas tree, the Chinese buy potted flowers, which create a festive atmosphere. Also, the Chinese people launch lanterns with riddles written on them.
