Unitis: “Sports Diplomacy”

A meeting of the UNITIS discussion club took place, dedicated to the topic of sports diplomacy and its impact on international relations. Participants discussed the role of sports as a tool of “soft power” in strengthening international cooperation. Historical examples of sports diplomacy, such as the Olympic Games, World Championships, and bilateral sporting events, were examined. Special attention was given to the prospects for the development of sports diplomacy in modern geopolitical conditions and its significance for promoting cultural dialogue between countries. At the EnglishClub conversation club, we discussed fascinating topics related to university life and studies. Participants at different stages of their education shared their impressions and experiences, and it was truly interesting to listen to their stories! Excursion to the exhibition ‘Development of Rocket Engineering in Russia’ for students

On November 22, 2024, the first open tours for students of Samara University studying rocket and engine engineering took place. In a small, cozy university classroom, the students received a wealth of fascinating information about the life and work of an extraordinary individual, a dreamer, an engineer, and a pioneer in the creation of spacecraft — S.P. TurkishClub went on a virtual journey through the cities of Turkey! The participants of the meeting looked at the heritage of Istanbul: Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia Cathedral, Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque), looked at Christian buildings such as Goreme National Park, and learnt about the city of hearts or the religious capital of Turkey – Konya! The 19th of November 2024, as part of the FranClub event, a discussion of the education system in France took place. Natalia Nikolayevna Kolesova acted as a guest expert.
