The IberAClub of the Primakov Center hosted a master class on Argentine tango. The event was held in collaboration with the ISClub of the E.M. Primakov Center. The Argentine tango master class was conducted by the founder of the A. Sukhov Argentine Tango School – TangoS – Alexander Sukhov.
Steps, turns, pauses, and embellishments – it’s all about tango. Argentine tango is a social dance, without memorized choreography, based on improvisation and communication between partners. Everything that happens is born “here and now”. Therefore, it is very important that people accept and understand each other.
The participants of the master class were able to consolidate the knowledge they gained by playing a quiz!
Alexander told the story of tango, showed the basic steps and interesting figures. Participants learned a lot of new and interesting things, understood how Argentine tango differs from standard tango.
Also, students were not only able to learn the secrets of tango dancers, but also learned the basic elements of movement.
The ISClub curator Angelina Movsisyan and the IberAClub curator Alina Mironova performed musical numbers at the master class.
Everyone received a lot of positive emotions and impressions!
