The senator stressed that this is very up-to-date and important event as the training and attracting of talented graduates of universities, including graduates from different countries perspective investors, gives an opportunity to form more favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the country.
Deputy Chairman of the SF Committee on International Affairs, representative from the executive body of the Samara region, Farit Mukhametshin gave a videoconference speech at the opening of the All-Russian Forum “International Integration and Career in Russia”, which was held in Samara. The Forum was organized by Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolev and Russian Society “Knowledge”. Within the framework of the Forum, a Career Festival was held, so the students could have consultations on career planning and talk to the representatives of leading companies from various sectors of economy such as: finance, telecommunications technology, industry, pharmaceuticals and aerospace sectors.
The central theme of the Forum was the strategic initiative “Russia is an attractive country for studying and working” put forward by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in July 2021, aimed to train and involve in national economy of the country perspective specialists.
The Senator stressed that “by the level of education our region is the leader in the Volga Federal District, during several last years it is top ten among the subjects of Russian Federation… Our district makes a significant contribution to strengthen technological sovereign of the country, it was repeatedly said by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin”.
Farit Mukhametshin gave a speech at the opening of the All-Russian Forum “International Integration and Career in Russia”.
Since 2019 in the region a unique project is successfully realized – scientific-educational centre of the world level “Engineering of the future”. It was created within the framework of the instruction of the President of Russia and thanks to the initiative of our Governor in order to achieve Russia’s world leadership in scientific and technological development.
Farit Mukhametshin stressed that the leadership of the region pays close attention to creating favorable conditions for the development of education and science, actively carrying out the modernization of the educational infrastructure in the school–university– enterprise connection.
“There takes place the support of universities, young scientists and aspirants, students and pupils in the form of grants and scholarships from the regional budget,” – the Senator said.
Today in the frameworks of the national project “Science and Universities” the project on creating international interuniversity campus supported by the President of the country is held in the region. It is planed that to 2030 in the country will appear 25 modern campuses, including the one in Samara.
Farit Mukhametshin stressed that with the aim in increasing international profile in Samara Unversity the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after E. M. Primakov was created, and the UN Hall was officially opened.
The opening of the forum was attended by: Rector of Samara University Vladimir Bogatyrev, Head of the Department for the Development of Educational Activities in the Volga Federal District of the society “Knowledge” Dmitry Travkin, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov (welcome address), Federal Inspector for the Samara Region Marat Yuryev, Deputy Director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences for Youth Policy Yuri Kulintsev.
