No opportunity to travel far away? Let’s take advantage of the moment to explore our native land.
On 14 October 2024, activists of ISClub, IberAClub and SinoClub of the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeniy M. Primakov made a trip to Shiryaevo. The event was supported by the Samara University Coordination Centre.
We managed to do the most important thing – to introduce our international student friends to the beauty of the Samara region, especially to the huge natural territory – the «Samarskaya Luka» National Park.
Samarskaya Luka has always attracted artists, poets and musicians with its beauty and greatness. It is not by chance that in 1870 Ilya Repin and his companions spent their summer sketches here, in the village of Shiryaevo.
Also we did not pass by Shiryaevo adits. The adits are abandoned mine workings, a geographical monument of nature, limestone, from which the local Zhigulevskie mountains are formed.
But we did not stop only at conquering the mountain heights and, having crossed the valley where the village itself is situated, we made friends with the Cheshire cat who shared with us the secrets of the area.
At the end of the meeting, we had a picnic and shared our impressions of the trip.
We thank all the club members who made a small journey to one of the most picturesque places of our region.
