The programme of the ILA RAS delegation’s stay in the welcoming city on the Volga River was not limited to the scientific conference. It also included a vast cultural part organised by the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeniy M. Primakov (Samara University). The participants of the AIIM visiting meeting got acquainted with the main sights of the city, saw the famous Ladia – a symbol of the Middle Volga region, Stalin’s bunker and the museum of Soviet constructivism ‘Factory-kitchen’. The excursion to the building of the former real school, which in 1912 one of the first Russian explorers of South America Georgiy Borisovich Skalov (Sinani) graduated from, aroused an extreme interest.
The pleasing sunny weather made the walk along the Samara embankment especially pleasant and unforgettable. Thanks to our Samara colleagues for the warm welcome!
