The Debate Club held a debate on very topical subject: «Classical education VS Distance education»!

The participants discussed various aspects of this issue. Some of them were in favour of classical education, noting its significance in the personality formation, development of social and practical skills. Others supported distance education, pointing out its versatility and accessibility, especially in modern technological conditions.

The debate showed that both approaches have their own advantages and disadvantages. Traditional education can provide a structured system of knowledge and personal interaction with teachers and classmates. However, it can be geographically and financially limited and not always adaptable to changing needs of the labour market. On the other hand, distance learning allows getting education from all over the world and having access to a large number of online resources. Meanwhile, it can require more self- discipline and self- organization from students, and may also deprive them of the benefits of personal communication and feedback with a teacher.

Special thanks should be given to our expert- Gulya Shakurova, as she shared her valuable comments during the discussion and was able to appreciate the reports of the participants!

In general, the debate aroused lively interest and stimulated the participants to think about important educational issues. We are sure that this discussion was productive and contributed to the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
We look forward to seeing you at the forthcoming club meetings!
