On December 13, 2023, in the Primakov Centre, it’s still hot as the Africa Week continues.
The concluding event of the second day was a lecture dedicated to the functioning mechanism of the Samara Interuniversity Model of the African Union.
Coordinators Polina Nechetova and Anastasia Tolstikova shed light on the main organizational aspects of the upcoming meeting and discussed the rules and common mistakes in writing positions and resolutions.
Remember, as representatives of countries, personal opinions starting with “I think” or “I believe” are unacceptable. Use such phrases as “Our country supports” or “We disagree with…”.
Experts Andrey Chistyakov and Ivan Sivkov presented a report to the participants on the history and peculiarities of terrorist movements in Africa.
Did you know that the first document aimed at combating the activities of a terrorist organization was issued in 1977? Or that mercenarism is prohibited in the African Union countries because they help terrorists train new attackers?
The meeting was moderated by the Secretary of the Samara Interuniversity Model of the African Union, Anastasia Fatkhutdinova.
We are excited to share the recording of the lecture with you in case you missed watching it live:
