On October 17, 2023 in Samara University was held the All-Russian forum “International Integration and Career in Russia” organized by Samara University and Russian Society “Knowledge”.
The forum was dedicated to discussion of present internships, exchange of experience and searching of perspective ideas which may be interesting not only to the authorities but also to the students studying together with foreigners. The opportunities of education in integration of foreign citizens, the experience of adaptation of migrants in Russian regions and other were discussed as main themes.
“The theme of internalization is one of the key issues to the major amount of Russian universities. Nowadays only in Samara University named after Korolev has about a thousand of students from 69 countries of the world. They choose us as they are confident: scientific schools, standing behind the brand of Samara and Samara University, – primarily in the sphere of aerospace technologies, – will give them an opportunity to build up a career not only in their homeland, but also in any other country. The economic, philological and law faculties of the university are gaining more and more popularity among foreigners,” – said Vladimir Bogatyrev, the Rector of Samara State University named after Korolev.
The Forum is the embodiment of the strategic initiative “Russia is an attractive country for studying and working” put forward by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin in July 2021.
“… The preparation and attraction of talented graduates of universities, including graduates from different countries, perspective investors, gives an opportunity to form more favorable conditions for the sustainable development of the country. The realization of the initiative is aimed at increasing interest to our system of education and to learning Russian language, at improving the perception of Russia in the world, as a country suitable for studying and working”, – Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, Senator from the Samara Region in the Federation Council Farit Mukhametshin stressed.
The Head of the Department for the Development of Educational Activities in the Volga Federal District of the Society “Knowledge” Dmitry Travkin expressed gratitude to Samara University for preparing such a rich program of the Forum and wished all the participants productive work.
“Successful socialization and cultural adaptation of foreign citizens in Russian Federation, and their integration in Russian society are fixed as one of the aims of state national policy, approved by the President. Now to reach this goal events on harmonizing relations between foreign citizens and Russian society are held”, – Federal Inspector for the Samara Region Marat Yuryev said.
After official opening the representatives of institutes, public organizations and the authorities took park in the round table “Regional aspects of integration of foreigners in Russia: experience, problems, perspectives”.
