October 19, 2023, a representative of the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeniy M. Primakov took part in an event dedicated to “Day of Africa”, which was organized by the African House in Samara State University of Economics.
African Day was eventful and interesting. Interactive platforms, master classes, tasting of African cuisine, but, of course, the most important thing is meeting and communication. The guests were greeted by students of the Department of World Economy dressed in African outfit.
At the event opening, welcoming speeches were made by the acting rector of Samara State University Elena A. Kandrashina and the head of the Department of investment, innovation policy and foreign economic relations of the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment of the Samara Region Dmitry V. Abramov, as well as the head of the department for international cooperation of Egerton University (Kenya) Charles Mwithali Merimba.
Students greeted the guests with a creative dance performance. After the official part, all participants of the event were able to immerse themselves in the diversity of the culture of the African nations by attending a number of master classes and lectures.
