A meeting dedicated to United Nations Day was held at the Unitis. The event was organized jointly with the UN Information Center in Moscow.

October 24, this holiday turned 75 years old, since it began to be celebrated in 1948. In honor of this, the meeting participants got acquainted with the history of the UN, the work of the UN Information Center in Moscow, and also learned about cooperation between the UN and the Samara region.

Marina N. Shirshova, head of the library of the UN Information Center in Moscow, the oldest institution of the UN system in our country, spoke to the students. The meeting participants were especially interested in information about internships and practices of the Information Center, as well as the directions of its work.

4th year students of International Relations Ilya Popov and Andrey Chistyakov presented their reports.

In the final part, the meeting participants took an amusing quiz, where interesting facts about the UN were collected. As a result, based on the most points scored, 4 winners received valuable prizes from the Center named after E.M. Primakov.

At the end of the meeting, everyone received “UN in Russia” magazines, which are published by the UN Information Center in Moscow, as a gift.

We are waiting for you at the following meeting at the Unitis!
