September 20, as a part of the International Film Festival “Salt of the Earth”, a creative meeting was held with the chairman of the jury, Doctor of Art History, professor at VGIK, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation – Galina S. Prozhiko.
The meeting was a real privilege for students of the humanitarian faculties of Samara National Research University.
During the meeting, students were shown the documentary “Wonderful World”, created by director Ivan Vlasov. This film opened up the amazing world of art and showed how much films can influence our emotions and thoughts. It was incredibly interesting to watch how students actively discussed and analyzed the film, asked questions and made conclusions.
Galina Semenovna shared her knowledge and experience in cinematography. She was asked questions about the process of making films, about creative and technical aspects, as well as about the development of the film industry in our country and in the world. Her answers were inspiring and highlighted various current aspects of film art.
Such meetings are valuable opportunities for everyone; one can gain not only knowledge and information, but also inspiration for creative work. The opportunity to communicate with outstanding personalities of cinematography opens up new prospects and broadens horizons.
