From April 22 to 26, third-year students of Samara University in the field of International Relations – Kuzmina Karina and Sivkov Ivan were interning at the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The region of Latin America is in the scientific interests of the trainees
The students’ trip made a great contribution to strengthening cooperation between the Primakov Center and ILA RAN. Karina and Ivan attended master class on resume writing, which will help them in the future to properly design resumes and motivation letters. In addition, the students were shown a master class on working with materials from the Russian State Library, which will help them in the future to select literature for further scientific work.
Kuzmina Karina:
“The internship at ILA RAN was an great opportunity for me to communicate with experts and ask questions I’m interested in, the answers to which helped me expand the boundaries of scientific interests and gain the necessary knowledge. This trip has become a wonderful memory, which gave me not only bright emotions, but also replenished my knowledge base.”
Sivkov Ivan:
“This trip gave me an invaluable experience. I took a fresh look at the Latin American region, communicated with experts, learned how to search for information on specialized resources, and learned a lot of interesting things about scientific work in general. I would like to mention the productive work at the Russian State Library, which will be a great help in writing my graduate work next year. In general, I am grateful to the Institute of Latin American Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences for an invaluable and unforgettable experience”
