On October 30-31, 2024, the All-Russian Youth Local History Forum took place in Samara, bringing together young historians from various regions of the Russian Federation. The forum was held under the auspices of the Youth Club of the Russian Historical Society and Samara University named after Korolev.

More than 60 applications were submitted from 22 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Vologda, Gorno-Altaisk, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Klin, Krasnoyarsk, Kursk, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Penza, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Surgut, Tolyatti, Ufa, and Cheboksary. The applications covered a wide range of local history topics, including areas such as archaeology and ethnography of the homeland, power and society (political parties, social movements, and social groups), economic development of Russian regions, culture and education, regions during the Great Patriotic War, youth and youth movements in the region, outstanding figures of the region (historical-biographical studies), and auxiliary historical disciplines in the study of regional history.

On October 30, 2024, a remote section for participants from other cities was held via video conference. The winner was recognized as Vladislav Alekseevich Kartashov from Saratov National Research State University named after N.G. Chernyshevsky. On October 31, an in-person section for Samara participants took place. The winner of this section was Leonid Markovich Komin with his report titled “Carefree Behavior in the Everyday Practice of Workers at the Pipe Factory in Samara in the Early 20th Century” (Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev).

The All-Russian Youth Local History Forum became an important milestone in the professional development of young historians.
