Students of the “International Relations” program at Samara University — Elizaveta Morozova and Alina Mironova — completed an internship at the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ILA RAS), organized by the E.M. Primakov Centre.
During the internship, the students had the opportunity to discuss the topics of their graduation theses with leading Russian experts in Latin American studies. As part of their training, our students took part in the conference “Latin America: Young Researchers in Search of a New Perspective on Regional Issues”, and also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on an excursion.
Elizaveta Morozova about the internship: «Interning at the Institute of Latin America of the RAS became an important milestone in my educational journey. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to dive deeper into the research of the Latin American region and broaden my academic horizons. One of the most useful aspects for me was the opportunity to ask all the questions I had regarding my thesis. The institute’s specialists were happy to share their recommendations and advice, which helped me better structure my thoughts and ideas for further research!»
«The internship at ILA RAS was a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in my field of academic interest. I received invaluable advice and answers from experts that will support my future research activities, and I made useful connections. There’s so much more ahead!» — shared Alina Mironova
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the E.M. Primakov Centre and the Rectorate of Samara University for this opportunity, as well as to the Director of the Institute of Latin America of the RAS, Dmitry Mikhailovich Rosental, Senior Research Fellow and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ILA RAS, Vladimir Andreevich Goliney, and Research Fellow Yegor Sergeyevich Simanov for the excellent internship program!
