On October 22, 2024, the SinoClub of the Primakov Centre held a master class titled “Once Upon a Time” for students of the International School 2024, organized by the Center for International Short-Term Educational Programs of Samara University. Everyone has a favorite fairy tale, and we have been hearing them since childhood, just as our mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers told them to us. Fairy tales are eternal because good always triumphs over evil, and friendship helps to overcome all difficulties. In fairy tales, things happen that do not occur in ordinary life. Animals can talk, and people use magical objects.

The curators of SinoClub, Gunel Aliyeva, Sofia Makogon, and Gulya Shakurova, shared with the program participants stories about Russian folk tales and famous Russian cartoons. The students were not only able to watch the plots of well-known works but also read several famous quatrains from Russian poetry, helped Kolobok find his way home, assembled puzzles with Winnie-the-Pooh, unraveled the secrets of the Fixies, and even sang along with Crocodile Gena, Cheburashka, and Shapoklyak in the song “Blue Train.”

Our world becomes brighter and more colorful when magic and fairy tales appear in it!

With love,

Your SinoClub
