On May 24, 2025, a quiz dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture was successfully held at the Primakov Centre. The event was organized by the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeniy M.Primakov in collaboration with the Coordination Center of Samara University.

Participants included students from Samara University, the Volga State University of Telecommunications and Informatics, Samara State Technical University, and all those who are not indifferent to the history and culture of the slavic peoples – were able to test their knowledge about the creation of the slavic alphabet, the life and work of Saints Cyril and Methodius, as well as the contribution of slavic culture to world culture.

The event began with an introductory talk by a representative of the Zero Department — the Historical Faculty Student Scientific Society about the history of the emergence of slavic writing. Vadim Gerber delivered a captivating presentation to the quiz participants!

The quiz was held in a friendly atmosphere. Participants eagerly responded to questions, demonstrating both deep knowledge and keen interest in the topic. The organizers prepared a wide range of thought-provoking questions covering various aspects of slavic culture and history.

️Based on the results of the quiz, the winners were determined and received commemorative prizes.

️1st place was taken by team №1 of students from Samara State Technical University and Samara University.

️2nd place was taken by team №4 of students from Samara University.

️3rd place was taken by team №2 of students from Samara University.

The main reward for all participants, however, was immersion in the rich history and culture of slavic nations, as well as the opportunity to interact with like-minded people.

We thank all participants for their interest and active involvement in the quiz. The event became a golden opportunity to celebrate the Day of Slavic writing and culture with both benefit and pleasure, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting slavic cultural heritage!
