On February 24, Dmitry Khilov, Chairman of the Samara Regional Department of Delovaya Rossiya, made a presentation at a meeting of the working group on the development of export activities in the region under the Council for Improving the investment climate in the Samara Region. The meeting was chaired by Natalia Katina, Deputy Prime Minister of the regional Government. Alexey Ilmetov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the region, led the meeting.
In his report, Dmitry Khilov emphasized the importance of developing the region’s services exports in accordance with the export standard adopted in the Samara region. “To implement the regional export standard, the Samara Region Exporters Club was created, whose main goals are to increase exports by building relationships with foreign partners and creating a system of interagency interaction between all stakeholders in the region on the trade, economic and humanitarian international agenda,” Dmitry Khilov emphasized.
The head of the regional department announced the geography of work in accordance with the priorities of export supplies, geopolitical and economic parameters.: countries of the CIS, the African Union, and Southeast Asia. Export support is segmented by industry: industrial enterprises, agricultural enterprises, service and engineering companies, healthcare institutions (large private clinics, beauty salons, dentistry, government clinics, rehabilitation institutions).
“Within the framework of the priority project “Export of healthcare services” The Samara Region hosted a meeting of the working group at the Ministry of Health. We consider it necessary to support the protocol decisions taken on the establishment of a medical services project office and the training of a regional team within the project office training program at the Scientific Research Institute of Healthcare Organization and Medical Management,” Dmitry Khilov shared.
The chairman of the Samara regional branch of Delovaya Rossiya also drew the attention of colleagues to the implementation of the regional project “Export of educational services”. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Samara Region, the Primakov Centre, private educational agencies, representatives of 16 universities, who were delegated to the regional “Club of Exporters” by the Council of University Rectors of the Samara Region, joined the project.
Together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the region, a unified information space has been created on issues of international economic cooperation between the region and all interested departments and organizations. Meetings on the current agenda are held on a weekly basis, and a working chat has been set up for information and data exchange. Dmitry Khilov suggested that the relevant ministries connect the largest exporters for each department to the chat.
The head of the regional department shared the action plan for the near future. For example, a series of events with Chinese partners within the framework of the Volga-Yangtze project is planned for May. In April, two major events will be held in Uzbekistan: an economic mission with the participation of the Government of the Samara region and a business mission through the regional export support center. At the moment, more than 40 enterprises have submitted applications.
