Thanks to the agreement, the Regional Center for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations will receive a new impetus for growth.

In addition, lecturers from the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences will begin delivering lectures for students of Samara University.

Deputy Director of the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dmitry Rozental, emphasized the importance of this event:

“I see that there is excellent infrastructure here for future work. Our lecturers are ready to give lectures for the students of Samara University, and we also look forward to welcoming your students for internships with us. And of course, we will be glad to work together on various joint projects.”

Vice-Rector for Educational and Youth Policy of Samara University, Mikhail Leonov, noted:

“For us, this is an important partnership because it allows us to create in Samara a truly recognized and respected center for international relations.  In addition to diplomatic tasks, we also have educational goals: Samara University runs an International Relations training program, and it is absolutely clear that such contacts are necessary for the high-quality training of specialists.”

The Regional Center for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeny Primakov was established at Samara University in 2020, with the support of the Governor of Samara Region, Dmitry Azarov. The initiators of creating the Center were the President of Samara University, Viktor Soifer, and the Senator of the Samara Region in the Federation Council, Farit Mukhametshin.
