On May 14, 2021, at 14:00, at the Regional Centre for the Development of Public Diplomacy and International Relations named after Yevgeniy M. Primakov, Samara National Research University named after academician S.P. Korolev(Samara University), in collaboration with the media group «Russia Today», and with support from the Government of the Samara Region and the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry, launched a series of masterclasses. It will be held as part of the SputnikPro educational project with the participation of the “Social Navigator” media group project.
The speakers were leading experts from “Russia Today” and the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Foreign Ministry. The main themes included emerging international media trends, particularly in science and technology, new approaches in video and design, personal brand promotion on social media, advanced PR tools, and instruments for young researchers and diplomats to promote Russian interests globally and more.
The topic of the first masterclass is “How people perceive and manage information today, or how to make your personal media resources popular: key global tendencies trends.” The speaker was Natalia Vladimirovna Tyurina, Head of the Department of Education and Social Sphere Projects of the Directorate of State Projects and Head of the “Social Navigator” project of MIA “Russia Today.” She presented research findings on information perception. Under her guidance, participants examined the most commonly used formats for presenting information, focusing in detail on the most reader-friendly formats.They delved into audience targeting strategies, emphasizing that all content must align with audience needs. The discussion also covered infographic design principles, selecting illustrations for publications, and how readers perceive corporate and organizational websites.
